92, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on February 17, 2018. He was the loving husband of Marcelle (Champagne) Gareau for 64 years. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Philippe and Eugenie (Marion) Gareau. Armand Gareau graduated from Mount Saint Charles Academy, Providence College, and the University of Montreal where he graduated from the school of dentistry. He opened his dental practice on Broad Street in Central Falls in 1954 and practiced dentistry for more than 50 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marcelle, and children: his daughter, Genevieve Gareau-Mosse and husband Alain Mosse; his daughter, Susan Perlini and grandchildren, Jacob Perlini, Nicholas Perlini, Rosalina Perlini and Liza Perlini; his son, Pasco Gareau and wife Pamela Gareau and granddaughter, Monique Gareau; his brother, Roland Gareau and sister, Rita Savoie, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, George A. Gareau.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 22nd at 11 AM Saint Jude Church, 301 Front St., Lincoln, RI. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. The family invites all family and friends to pay their respects from 10 - 11am in the lobby of the church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the little Trappistine Sisters at Mount Saint Mary's Abbey, 300 Arnold Street, Wrentham, Mass 02093 Tel: (508) 528-1282.
