84, formerly of Darlingdale Ave, passed on June 26, 2010 at the Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence, following a period of declining health. He was the husband of Lucille (Lavallee) Lachance, they have been married for 44 years.
He was a son of the late Edgar and Bernadette (Lefebvre) Lachance.
He had been employed as a baker for the former Lavallee Bros. Evergood Bakery on Liberty St, Central Falls and was later employed as a custodian for the Memorial Hospital of Pawtucket, receiving their Employee of the Year Award in 1985 and later retired in 1989. He enjoyed spending time with his dog, Bando! Normand was pre deceased by his siblings but endeared himself to Lucill's brothers, Robert, Roland, Raymond, Russell, Ronald, Richard, Reginald and Roger Lavallee and her sister Rochelle Marcotte. Reginald unselfishly cared for Normand during the past several years.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Relatives and friends are invited and may call starting at 9am. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket
