81, of Cottage St, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010. She was the wife of the late Jabus Frails Jr.
Born in Burke County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James and Cora (Blount) Gunter. She resided in RI since 1968.
She worked at Beatrice Jewelry for ten years as a painter, and Dexcell Jewelry for two years, retired at the age of 62 from Miriam Jewelry Designing Department in 1990.
Irene is survived by a loving daughter, Jacquelyn A. Otis and son in law, George R. Otis Sr. of Pawtucket, a loving son, Timothy D. Frails and daughter in law, Frances Frails of Flower Mound, Texas, four loving grandchildren, Lorenda C. Ford of Oklahoma, Calvin R. Ford III of Arlington, Texas, Lauren F. Frails and Kelsey A. Frails both of Flower Mound, TX , four loving great grandchildren, Eden, Calvin IV, Denzell and Victoria. Two sisters, Bessie Kennedy of Augusta, Georgia, and Annie B. Douglas of Newark, New Jersey. She was the sister of the late Marion, William, Roosevelt, Tommy, John and Lewis Gunter, Sophie Williams and Essie B. Garnett .
She enjoyed gardening and had a passion for gourmet cooking and a profound love for reading the Bible.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 10th at 11am at the Oasis of Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 464 Silver Spring St, Providence. Burial will be private.
