"Jack" 67, died unexpectedly on
November 6, 2010. He was the devoted husband of Patricia (Flynn) Grieve.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Archiebald and Catherine (McDade) Grieve. He was a lifelong Pawtucket resident.
He had been employed by Motorola for 30 years and after his retirement worked for RI Resource Recovery.
Jack was a dedicated Communicant of St. Mary Church, a Boy Scout Leader, Men's Association member, and a member of the school Board for Woodlawn Catholic Regional School. He was a longtime Baseball coach for Woodlawn Little League. Jack was also a member of RI State Democratic Committee and member of the Army National Guard.
Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Kerrie Mendes and her husband Paul, Lorie Levesque and her husband Allen, a son, Kevin Grieve and his wife Paula, three brothers, Donald, Steven and David Grieve, a sister, Patricia Mulvey and several nieces and nephews. He was the loving
"Papa" of Ethan and Emma Mendes.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, Pine St. Pawtucket at 10 am. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours will be held Tuesday 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to St, Mary Church, 103 Pine St, Pawtucket, RI, 02860.
