Born in Vale da Ribeira, Portugal, a son of the late Eduardo and Maria Santos Silva Roque.
He had been employed by Carol Cable for many years and was a member of the Portuguese Social Club.
Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Leni Avelar and her husband David of North Providence, a son Nelson M. Roque of Pawtucket, two grandchildren, Anthony and Liliana Avelar, three brothers, Jorge, Jose and Victor Roque, a sister Ermelinda and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Celestino Roque.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, Pine St, Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours will be held Friday 5-8pm.
