(Frank), 83, died Monday, November 8, 2010 at home in Epsom, New Hampshire following a long illness. He was born January 28, 1927, in Pawtucket, RI to the late Herbert and Rose (Reynolds) Murray. He spent many years in his hometown of Pawtucket and then moved to Epsom, New Hampshire in 1996.
Frank was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in the Pacific theatre of World War II. He married his loving wife, Gertrude in 1945 and recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Frank's passion was sales and he worked for American Income Life and after retirement in 1995 he worked as a courier for Dartmouth Hitchcock Pharmacy and NeighborCare Pharmacy in Concord, NH. Frank enjoyed people, playing card games and tinkering around the house. He had a special affection and memories of his golden retriever, Barney.
Surviving family members include his wife Gertrude (Boisse) Murray of Epsom, NH; three children, Gloria Potter of Seekonk, Massachusetts, Denise Boulais of Allenstown, New Hampshire and Michael F. Murray of Bow, New Hampshire; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Thursday morning at 9 am - 10:15 am at Keefe's Funeral Home in 5 Higginson Avenue, Lincoln, RI followed by a Mass of Christian burial Thursday morning at 11:00 am St. Cecilia Parish 755 Central Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
He will be laid to rest at the New Hampshire Veteran's Cemetery in Boscawen, Friday at 1.15 p.m. for family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made on his behalf to the New Hampshire Veterans Medical Center 718 Smyth Road, Manchester, NH 03104
