63, passed January 9th at home with his loving family by his side after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Pamela (Haskell) Hunt for 24 happy years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late William T. and Sarah (Ayers) Hunt.
Paul was the proprietor of Hunt Restoration Co for over 30 years and was a current member of the Pawtucket Country Club where he was an avid Golfer.
He was also a former member of the Fall River Country Club for many years.
He served in the US Coast Guard for 5 years, including a tour in Vietnam.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, William T. Hunt of Lincoln, Shaun Haskell and his wife Susan, two grandchildren, Emily and Zachary Haskell, of Abington, MD a brother, Stephen J. Hunt of Central Falls, a sister, Barbara Blais, her husband James, their daughters, Alyson Saltzman and Melissa Blais of Cranston and his mother-in-law Joan Haskell of Wrentham Ma. He also leaves aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and his dear caregivers, Valerie and Michael Moreau.
Prior to his illness Paul enjoyed long walks and working out at Forecourt in Cumberland. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his wife, family and many friends at Pawtucket Country Club, News Café, Dragon Villa, Brooksies and Jimmy’s in Newport. Paul hated winter and loved to travel to golf resorts in warm places.
Paul will be remembered most by his generous spirit and love for red-heads of all ages!
His funeral will be held Friday at 9am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Edward Church, Weeden St, Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours will be held Thursday from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI
