86, of Pawtucket, died peacefully on January 21, 2011 at her home of the last 8 years at Jeanne Jugan Residences, surrounded by her family and loved ones. She had recently begun receiving support from Beacon Hospice.
Born in Canada in 1924, she became a naturalized citizen soon after her marriage to the late Rene F. Poulin, her husband of 40 years. A long time residence of Central Falls, she was a French school teacher at Saint Matthew's school, as well as a performer and singer. A very devout and religious woman, she was a devoted mother to her children and grandchildren.
Martha is survived by her children: Normand Rene Poulin of San Francisco, CA; Robert Poulin and his wife Louise, of Norton, MA; Richard Poulin and his wife Gale; her daughters, Anne Poulin & Sharon Champagne; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; niece Connie Pastore; her beloved twin sister, Marie Anne Bedard and other surviving siblings from Chicoutimi, PQ Canada.
Private viewing and funeral mass will be held in the Jeanne Jugan Chapel for immediate family members, residents & staff.
Internment services will be officiated at the Veteran's Cemetery in Exeter. Funeral arrangements are being coordinated by Keefe Funeral Home of Lincoln.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Martha's name to Jeanne Jugan Residence of Pawtucket, would be greatly appreciated and welcomed.
