97, formerly of Valley St, passed peacefully February 8th, with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of Melvin W. Goff. They have been married for over 60 years.
Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Michael and Bridget (Kelly) Griffin.
She had been employed as a textile worker in the Blackstone Valley area for many years. Gladys was a member of the former Holy Trinity Mothers Club.
Besides her husband she is survived by a daughter, Marylyn Sepe and her husband Richard of Cranston, a son, James Goff and his wife Dorothy of Pawtucket, a sister, Rose Nolan, two grandchildren, Kevin Sepe and Jennifer Goff, two great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Christopher Sepe and sister of the late Rita McElroy, Alice, Joseph, Thomas and Gerald Griffin.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa Church, Newport Ave, Pawtucket at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours will be held Thursday from 5 to 8pm. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Sr. Bea's Ministry, 1030 Dexter St, Central Falls, RI 02863 or to Odyssey Health Care Hospice, 2374 Post Rd, Warwick, 02886.
