passed away peacefully at age 76 early Friday morning at St. Joseph's Hospital, Our Lady of Fatima Unit, surrounded by her loving family. Chece of Atlantic Highlands, NJ, David P. Chece and Paul A. Chece both of Lincoln, RI. She was the mother of the late David P. Chece. She leaves 2 loving daughters-in-laws, Marie Chece of Atlantic Highlands, NJ, Joy Chece of Lincoln, RI, and a loving son-in-law Wayne Schmiedeknecht of Cranston, RI. She was the loving grandmother of Nicholis, Dustin, Spencer, Luke, Thomas, Emily, Molly, Kimberly, Ella and Paula Chece, as well as Allison Newcum and Grace Schmiedeknecht. Virginia was treasured by her 27 nieces and nephews. Virginia was the youngest of four children by the late Charles and Anna Danz of CT. She is survived by her brother John Danz of Arco, Idaho. She was the sister of the late Charles and Frederick Danz. Virginia was a kind, loving, and caring wife. She was a beloved mother, aunt, grandmother and friend. She truly enjoyed living life to the fullest, and to be around her children and grandchildren especially during the holidays. She could often be heard playing Frankie and Johnnie or Christmas Carols on the organ. Music was a big part of her soul, as was her lifelong love Pasco. The world lost a tremendous person and heaven gained another angel. Ginny will be missed by all. Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours will be held Monday from 5 to 8pm.
