passed away March 19th, at the age of 76. She was the wife of the late William Brooks Jr. Shirley was a life-long resident of Rhode Island and worked for many years with the Providence school department. She is survived by two sons, William Brooks III of Jonesboro Ga, Dr Dennis Brooks of Collegeville Pa. one daughter Denise Adams of Cranston, 6 grandchildren 1 great grandchild, three sisters, Phyllis Lomax and Jacqueline Henderson of Boston and Marion Bullock of Va. Services will be held at 11am Friday March 25th at Union Baptist Church on Lupine St, Pawtucket, viewing will be held from 10am to 11am. Interment will be at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
