52, of High St, passed Friday at the RI Hospital surrounded by her loving family after a brave long battle with cancer.

She was the wife of John N. Converse; they celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary in November.

Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Gerald and Lucille (Pelkey) Roy.

Risa had been a dedicated Day Care provider for many years

Besides her husband John, she was a loving mother and is also survived by a stepson, John N. Converse of South Attleboro, Three daughters, Mindy Theroux and her husband Kenneth, Keri Converse and Megan Converse, A son, Kyle Converse all of Cumberland.

A sister, Karen Dickson of Kinston, NC, a brother, Kevin Roy of Somerset, MA and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary Church, Pine St, Pawtucket at 10am. Relatives and friends invited, Calling hours Monday 5-8pm. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Oncology Dept of Miriam Hospital, c/o 164 Summit Ave, Providence RI 02906.
