Age 50, passed quietly on April 6, 2011 after a two year struggle with Lou Gehrig's disease at the Philip Hulitar Hospice In Patient Center in Providence. Mr. Weatherly's passing was eased by family and friends who cared for and loved him. Mr. Weatherly was born in Providence to the late Dorothy Jean (Langley) Weatherly and Douglas Edwin Weatherly and is survived by his sister Brooke (Weatherly) Marrinan of Wakefield. Mr. Weatherly is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and many beloved friends. Marcus worked 24 years for the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees as a projection operator serving local 437 as both secretary and treasurer. Mr. Weatherly owned and operated his own Laundromat and drove a forklift at the Benny's warehouse. The proudest of Mr. Weatherly achievements was earning his pilot license in 1977 flying small engine planes out of Lincoln North Central Airport. Mr. Weatherly cared deeply for his friends and family and will be sadly missed.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am Monday, April 11, 2011 at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will follow at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Visiting hours are Sunday 6 to 8 pm.
