"Bob", 56, died May 4th at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Hospice Center after a year-long battle with lung cancer. He was the beloved husband of Diane M. (Fregeau) Grenon to whom he was married to for 34 years.
Born in Attleboro, MA, he was the son of the late Roger H. and Annette T. (Gingras) Grenon. He was raised in Pawtucket and was a 1973 graduate of Our Lady of Providence High School. He also attended Bryant College.
He was a communicant of Saint Jude Catholic Church in Lincoln.
Bob worked as a driver/salesman for Stateline Potato Chips and was a night manager at McKeever's IGA in Warwick. Prior to his illness, he was employed as the shipper/receiver at A. & H. Duffy and MCM Technologies in Cranston for 6 years.
Bob was an avid camper, fisherman and cribbage player. For the past 7 years he was a seasonal camper at Wawaloam Campground in Exeter. He belonged to the LeFoyer Cribbage League for many years prior to his illness. He will be remembered as a "gentle"man who always had a smile on his face and treasured the time spent with his family.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his children; Jennifer L. Lincourt and her husband Derek M. of Pawtucket, and Michael R. Grenon and his wife Rayna L. of Cranston. He leaves his brother, Rev. Paul R. Grenon, pastor of St John & Paul's Catholic Church in Coventry, his cherished granddaughter, Liana Hope Grenon as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am at St Jude Church, 301 Front St, Lincoln. Relatives and friends are invited, calling hours will be held Sunday from 5-8pm. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.

The family extends their gratitude and appreciation to the oncology nurses at Miriam Hospital's Comprehensive Cancer Center, Dr. Angela Plette and her team, Dr. Thomas DiPetrillo and the radiation team at RI Hospital, the employees of A&H Duffy and MCM Technologies, Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island and all of our family and friends who have supported Bob during the last year.
Following church services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced.
