89, was reunited with his loving wife Lillian on May 29, 2011. Raymond had worked at: Simmons Auto Supply, Pelletier’s Automotive, Diamond National Lumber Yard, The Atlantic Paper Company and Aime and Sons Automotive.
Raymond lived with his wife and children for 62 years at the family home in Pawtucket Rhode Island.
He was a Scout Master at St. Leo the Great, Troop 18 in the 1960’s and
Head Usher at St Leo the Great Church for 12 years in the 1990’s.
He proudly served in the United States Coast Guard during WW2 aboard the USS Modoc in the North Atlantic as a Gunners Mate third Class
Received the American Area Campaign Medal, The European-Middle Eastern African Area Campaign Medal, Battle Of The Atlantic 50th Anniversary Medal
Awarded by the United Kingdom, The Atlantic Service Medal. Years after the war they received a letter of confirmation of the sinking of a German U-Boat to the credit of the USS MODOC. His date of service: 2/1/43 through 10/29/45.
Raymond was a Lifetime member of the VFW.
He is survived by two sons, Robert N. Dupont and his wife Irene of Cumberland, Richard R. Dupont and his wife Stacey of Pawtucket, a daughter, Patricia A. Crescione and her husband Anthony of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, a sister, Rita Landry, of Central Falls, Grand Children: Lynne Marie DeGuilio and Sgt. Christopher Dupont (Pawt. Police Dept.)
Three great-grandchildren, James Christopher Votta, Katie Votta and Bethany Votta, and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Gerard, Lorenzo and Roger Dupont and Rolande Lebeau. He alo leaves a companion of five years and very dear family friend: Joan Stachurski of Plantation, Florida
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 4 to 7pm from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private in Notre Dame Cemetery. Donations will be appreciated in lieu of flowers. The following two organizations were very meaningful
