74, passed peacefully with his loving sons by his side.
Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Rock and Fleurette (Pare) Martel.
He is survived by two sons, Mark Martel of Maine and Steven Martel of Rehoboth, five grandchildren, Derrick, Ryan and Ellen Martel, Kerri Blasing and Elaine Clark, three great-grandchildren, Ezra Blasing, Jade Martel-Bixby and Colby Martel, a sister, Clarice Bloomer, and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late John Martel and brother of the late Lorraine Martin, Gerald Martel and Lee Martel.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 1pm from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Relatives and friends are invited, visitation will begin at noon. Burial will be private.
