75, known to many friends and family as "Ed", peacefully passed away on Tuesday July 19, 2011 at Chestnut Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in East Providence. Ed was born in Gueydan, Louisiana on July 23, 1935 to the union of Clement and Sally (Levine) Huntley. Edward worked for Buffington Box Company (35 years) and Federal Products (17 years) prior to retirement and Talbot Treatment/Providence Center for several years after retirement. He is survived by his devoted children: Phyllis Evans, Christopher, Cedric, Angela and Regina Huntley; Daughter-in-Laws, Dawn and Joann Huntley; Son-in-Law Bryan Evans; seven grandchildren, Denille, Lindsey, Ashley, Jeffrey, Tyler, Stephfon and Dale Cover; 6 great grandchildren, two sisters, Irma Polk and Francis Bossier; three brothers, Earl, Clyde and Louis Huntley; and a host of nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by both his parents; one brother Andrew; two sisters, Fleta Crader and Hilda (Mutsy) Woods. Ed loved to play golf and will be missed immensely by his golfing community. He was a member of the Bi-Ki-Pu Golf Club and East Providence Handicappers. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday July 23, 2011 at the Pond Street Baptist Church, 75 Chester Avenue in Providence.
