He had been employed by Interpack Corporation for many years before retiring.
He is survived by three sisters, Lourdes Lopes, Adelina Fontes and Alcinda Fonts, a brother, Alberto Fontes many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence. Calling hours will be held Monday from 6 to 8pm.
