73, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at Summit Commons surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Zulmira H. (da Rosa) Lopes.
The son of Antonio and Celestina Lopes, he was born in Penalva do Castelo, Portugal. Mr. Lopes resided in Pawtucket with his wife for 47 years.
Besides his wife, he leaves three siblings, Genésio Lopes (Cumberland), Berta Costa (Cumberland), and Clotilde Lopes (Portugal) as well as several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Monday at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church, Walcott St, Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be in Mt Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 4 to 7pm
