She was the wife of the late Harry J. Chagnon.
Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Henry P. and Christina (McKenna) Coyle. She lived most of her life in Darlington and has also resided in North Carolina and Florida before returning to Pawtucket 6 years ago.
She is survived by two daughters, Alice Gregoire of Central Falls, and Christina
Lafferty of Pawtucket, a son, Leo Chagnon of Central Falls, a sister, Helen Smith of Tampa, FL, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Harvey J. Chagnon and Rosalie T. Grandchamp, sister of the late Catherine Woods, Thomas Coyle, William Coyle, Joseph Coyle, Rita Peckham and Raymond Coyle.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 9am with a service at 10am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 5pm. In lieu flowers memorial gifts may be made to the RI Chapter of the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd, Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
