53, of Lincoln, RI, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Grace (Borges) Goodnow. They had been married for 35½ years.

Paul was born in Providence, RI, and was son of Doris (Phelps) Goodnow and the late Gordon A. Goodnow. Paul lived most of his life in Lincoln.

Besides being a great, caring person, Paul was an artist, picture frame maker and a member of Carpenter's Local 94. He was also associated with the Christian Congregation of Jehovaha's Witnesses in Lincoln, RI.

Paul won many awards for his art work and his hand-carved gilded frames. He was a member at many art associations including Rockport Art, Lyme Art and North Shore. His work was shown at many galleries throughout New England.

Besides his wife, Grace, and mother, he leaves his son Paul Michael Goodnow, and daughter Sherrie Sharp and her husband Alex Sharp of Smithfield, RI. He also leaves his sister Gail Cabana and her husband Robert of Cumberland, RI, sister Diane Dickinson and her husband Leslie, Jr. of Lincoln, RI, and brother Ethan Goodnow and his wife Debra of Cumberland, RI. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and many good friends in the art community. Paul will be missed by all.
