52, passed peacefully February 6th at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was the son of Alice (Lizotte) Champagne of Pawtucket and the late Leo Champagne.
Robert was a graduate of Central Falls High School, where he played football and basketball. He also played softball for various adult leagues.
He had been employed by Landry Hardware of Central Falls for many years.
He was an avid Patriot and Red Sox fan and enjoyed fishing and shell fishing.
He is survived by a son, Eric Duquette of Atlanta, GA and a daughter, Shannon Duquette of East Providence, 3 brothers, Glenn, Donald and Leo Champagne, 7 sisters, Gail, Darlene and Sharon Champagne, Linda Hassoun, Deborah Pray, JoAnn Laboissonniere and Cindy Arce, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Saturday from 12 to 2pm followed by a service at 2pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Hospice of Nursing Placement, 334 East Ave, Pawtucket, RI, 02860.
