75, passed March 13th at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Marjorie A. (Pelrine) McGettigan.
Born in April 7, 1936 in Quincy, MA he was a son of the late Dennis James and Isabell “Ella” (Douglas) McGettigan.
He had been employed by Motorola for over 20 years and then worked several years for Mallinckrodt.
Dennis was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
He was the father of eight, John Dimarco and his wife Elizabeth, Steven Dimarco and his wife Dottie, James McGettigan, Annette Kennedy, Sandra Ford and her husband Brian, Edward McGettigan, Denise McGettigan and the late Robert McGettigan, he was the brother of Kathy Locasio, Michael Maloney and the late Anne Clarke Moore, the grandfather of 12, great grandfather of 6 and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Attleboro. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Monday from 5 to 8pm. For online condolences visit
