passed away on March 20, 2012.
She was the beloved wife of Normand H. Dumont. Gertrude was the daughter of the late Jean Paul and Jeanne (Boucher) Proulx.
Gertrude was retired from the Central Falls School Department.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Lisa Aponte of Pawtucket, four sons, Mitchell and Jonathan Dumont, both of Central Falls, Richard Dumont of Seekonk, MA and James Dumont of East Providence, three brothers, Edmund Proulx of Cumberland, Robert Proulx of Florida and Marcel Proulx of South Attleboro, three sisters, Jacqueline Sigler of Wisconsin, Claire Taylor of South Carolina and Janet McCoy of Providence, eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Maurice Proulx and Marie Roy.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 8:15am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Spirit Parish
(St. Matthew Church) Dexter St, Central Falls at 9:30am. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5 to 8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Sr. Bea's Ministry, 1030 Dexter St, Central Falls, RI 02863.
