68, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Claire (Gaynor) Cunningham. They celebrated their 50th anniversary on February 24th.He was a former Lions Coach.
Besides his wife he is survived by five daughters, Deborah Cunningham, Dorn Dougan, Jean Bourgault, Kathleen Flynn and Lori Tavares, and a son James J. Cunningham, 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. James was a loving father full of lessons and patience, who would talk for hours if that is what you needed at the time. James loved Disney world was one of his passions in his life. He could tell you anything you needed to know about that place and its characters. His family would agree that he could be a funny character himself at times. James loved the summer weather and was always down for the food that the summer season brought. All in all food and adventures was at the top of his list. He will be missed by lots and forgotten by none. RIP James
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian burial in St. Jude Church, Front St, Lincoln at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Monday from 5 to 8pm. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to The Cancer Center at Memorial Hospital, 111 Brewster St, Pawtucket RI 02860
