Born in Brava, Cape Verde, a daughter of Virgilio Duarte and Amelia Baptista. She was the loving mom of Maiza B. DaGraca and Devin Baptista.
She is also survived by four sisters, Lucy Silva, Lucilia Silva, Maria Pendlebury "Paluca" and Maria Almeida, two brothers, Napoleao Almeida and Benjamin Duarte and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Arlindo, Joel and Irma Baptista.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 8am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Xavier Church, 79 North Carpenter St, East Providence at 10am. Burial will be in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 4 to 8pm.
