Born in Sao Vicente, Cape Verde, a son of Jose Augusto DaCruz and Antonia Delgado and stepson of Eugenia A. DaCruz.
He had been employed by the Gorham Company for many years and was also a carpenter and mason.
He is survived by 3 daughters, Juvita DaRosa of Pawtucket, RI, Anne Penha of Fairhaven, MA, and Antoinette DaCruz of Berat, France, 4 sons, Joseph DaCruz of Cordova, TN, Julio DaCruz of Stratford, CT, Dominique DaCruz and Sylvain DaCruz of the Ivory Coast, Africa., 4 brothers, Jose Manuel DaCruz of Cape Verde, Sylvester DaCruz of Holland, Firmeno Delgado of Senegal and Manuel DaCruz of Holland, two sisters, Rosalina Monteiro and Maria Delgado, 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Pascoa M. Silvia, Manuel DaCruz, Augusto DaCruz, Joanita DePina and Armando DaCruz,
A service will be held Wednesday, May 9th in the Mt. Hope Community Baptist Church, 734 Hope St, Providence at 10:00am. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5 to 8pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln.
