Born in Sao Antao, Cape Verde, she was a daughter of the late Antonio L. Mello and Isabel Castro. She had been employed for eleven years by Swarovski Jewelry.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Andrade and her husband Helder of Providence, two grandchildren, Maxwell and Anthony Andrade of Providence, two brothers, Constancio Mello of Virginia and Agnelo Mello of Cape Verde and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 24th in the Holy Name of Jesus Church, 99 Camp St, Providence at 10am.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence.
