84, of Capitol Ridge Assisted Living in Providence RI, and formerly of Darlingdale Ave, passed peacefully following a period of declining health, at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Hospice Center in Providence RI on June 6, 2012. Lucille was born of Fabiola Marceaux Lavallee and Elie O. Lavallee on December 3, 1927 in Providence Rhode Island. She was the beloved widow of Normand Lachance.

"Lou" as her family called her, is survived by her siblings, Robert Lavallee of Baltimore MD, Raymond and Reginald of Central Falls; Roger of Cumberland; Russell Lavallee of Lagrangeville, NY; Ronald Lavallee of Lincoln; Richard Lavallee of Warwick and Rochelle Marcotte of Norton MA. She also leaves several nieces and nephews who loved her so dearly as well as many great nephews and nieces.

Lucille had been a girl scout as a youngster and loved to tell stories about camping at Camp Ker-Anna in North Cumberland when the Camp had just been opened up! She had worked at her father and uncle's doughnut bakery, "Lavallee"s Evergood Doughnuts on Liberty Street in Central Falls. She also worked at the Royal Electric Company in Pawtucket for many years.

Lucille and her late husband enjoyed going to yard sales and auctions, always looking for a "great" buy!

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, June 7th at the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Avenue, Lincoln RI from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Her funeral will be on Friday morning from the said Keefe Funeral Home at 8:30 with the Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 at Holy Spirit Parish, (St. Mathieu's Church).
