76, passed September 4th. She was the wife of the late Earl Dobson Jr.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late William and Lena (Lewis) Bir.
She had been employed as a CNA for many years and was a volunteer and peer counselor for the M.S. Society of RI.
She is survived by two sons, Earl "David" Dobson and his wife Lori of North Scituate and Brian W. Dobson and his wife Martina of Cumberland, a grandson Dale B. Dobson of North Scituate. She was the sister of the late Celia Shurtleff.
Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St, Providence, RI 02904.
