69, passed unexpectedly October 17th. He was the husband of Micheline (Berger) Riendeau; they celebrated their 50th anniversary in May.
He was a son of the late Arthur and Aurore (Lauzon) Riendeau. He lived most of his life in Pawtucket. He had been employed as a foreman by Nissen Bakery of Central Falls for 32 years, retiring upon their closure. Roland was a dedicated volunteer at Memorial Hospital, Pawtucket for the past ten years. He loved spending time with his family.
Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter Debra Trudeau and her husband Stephen of Pawtucket, a son, Alan Riendeau of Westport, MA, a daughter in law, Jerilyn (Jardin) Riendeau of Cumberland, three granddaughters, Nicole Trudeau, Staff Sgt. Amy Trudeau Stutzman, and Masyn Riendeau, three brothers, Albert, Sylvio, and Leo Riendeau, a sister, Helen Bacon and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Mark S. Riendeau and brother of the late Omer Riendeau.
His funeral will be held on Monday at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa Church, Newport Ave., Pawtucket at 10am. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends invited. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2 to 4pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the Pawtucket Soup Kitchen, 195 Walcott St, Pawtucket, RI 02860.
