68, passed November 27th. He was the husband of Patricia (Corriveau) Polverari. They have been married for 41 years.
Born in New Haven, CT, he was a son of the late Angelo and Catherine Rose (Di Mascola). Richard was a Bus Driver for RIPTA for 37 years before retiring in 2008.
He served as a Sergeant during the Vietnam War, 107th Signal Company Operations.
Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Suann Polverari of New York, a brother, Jerry Whittren of Mississippi and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11am in the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 7 to 9pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to the MS Society, or the Heart Foundation.
