"Leal de Lavadura" 74, died January 5th.
He was the husband of Maria (DePina) Pereira,. They have been married for 43 years.
Born in Brava, Cape Verde, a son of Eduino and Ana (Fernandes) Pereira.
Leal had been employed by Brown University before retiring. He then was a self employed contractor.
Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Rita Pereira, two twin sons, Camilho and Danilho Pereira, three grandchildren Vanassa , Jhane and Dominique, three brothers, Oliveria, Ramiro, and Alexander Pereira, a sister, Paulina Lopes.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 8:15am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse St, Providence at 10am. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5 to 9pm.
