80, passed at home on January 25th. He was the husband of Valdemira (Cota) Machado. They have been married for 53 years.
Born in Terceira, Azores, a son of the late Jose and Maria Machado.
He had been employed by Electric Boat of Quonset Point as a sheet metal mechanic for 18 years. He was a member of the Friends of Terceira.
Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Maria Szrom of Attleboro, a son, Richard J. Machado of Cumberland, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Three brothers, Paul Machado, Frank Machado and Herculano Machado and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Relatives and friends are invited and may visit Tuesday morning starting at 9am. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket
