94, died on Friday, February 15 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence after a short illness. She was the widow of Albert Beaudette. Born in Pawtucket, she lived most of her life in Central Falls. She was the daughter of Edward and Silvia (Lachance) Lavallee. She leaves several cousins whose children she enjoyed being with at family functions. Rita also had many nieces and nephews with whom she loved to spend the Holidays with. She also had several younger friends with whom she loved to take on her yacht off Narragansett Bay.
She graduated from Central Falls High School in 1938 and from Bryant College in 1940. She then was employed by her Dad and Uncle Elie at the family's Doughnut Bakery on Liberty Street in Central Falls until her retirement. She was a parishioner of Holy Spirit Parish in Central Falls, formerly St. Mathieu's Parish. Visitation will be on Tuesday morning at 8 am in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Avenue in Lincoln RI with Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Spirit Parish, Dexter St at 9:30 am. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
