51 passed peacefully at home May 31st with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Charlene (Fortes) Tavares. Born in Praia, Cape Verde, he was a son of Eduardo G. Pinto and Joana Tavares Goncalves, of Praia, Cape Verde. Besides his wife he is also survived by his sons, Ali Moniz, Malcolm Moniz and Malik Tavares of East Providence, five grandchildren, Shya, Malcolm Jr, Ali Jr and Alison Moniz, six brothers, Moisses, Victor, Carlos, Fortunato, Victorino, Antonio G. Pinto, a sister, Victalina G. Pinto.
His funeral will be held Tuesday, June 4th at 8am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 99 Camp St, Providence at 10am. Burial will be held graveside at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 5-8pm.
