82, of Pawtucket passed away at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Hospice Center on June 10, 2013. He was the loving and devoted husband of Theresa (Benjamin) Jacob for sixty years. He was the son of the late Osias and Eva (Malouin) Jacob and brother of the late Renee Jacob, Osias Jacob, Gladys Beaubien and Cecile Racine. He was a Korean War Veteran. Gerald is survived by his children, Gerald Jacob, Jr. and his wife Janet, of Pawtucket, Michael Jacob and his wife Laura, of Woonsocket, Claudette Hurst and her husband, James of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, Roland Jacob and his wife Cynthia, of Coventry, Raymond Jacob and his wife Linda of St. Albans, Maine, Robert Jacob of Coventry and Janet Krejci and her husband, Dale of Wesley Chapel, Florida, eighteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
His funeral will be held on Friday, June 14th at 9am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave. Lincoln, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Maria Goretti Church, Power Rd., Pawtucket at 10am. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main St. Providence, RI 02904 would be appreciated.
