76, passed peacefully at home on June 11th
with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Thomas G. Prosser Sr.
Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Armand and Yvonne (Hamel) Benoit.
Rita had been employed by Ann & Hope of Cumberland for over 20 years and then worked for Aramark Food Service at the Central Falls High School. Rita was a member of the Lincoln Senior Center, enjoyed Bingo at Franklin Manor and was avid about her daily walk with her dear friend Peggy Lass.
She is survived by a son, Thomas G. Prosser Jr, two daughters, Theresa Brierley and Brenda M. Lemieux, a brother, Arthur Benoit, five grandchildren, David, Jennifer, Eric, Nicole and Emma, a great grandson, Matthew, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Maurice Benoit.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jude Church, Front St, Lincoln at 10am. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Friday from 4 to 7pm.
