"Bill" 66, passed on November 1st at his home surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer. He was the husband of Lucille (Tremblay) Bourgault and the former husband of Joan Allen.
He was the son of the late William L. Bourgault Sr. and Annette (Ouellette) Bourgault.
Bill was the proprietor of Rycourt Metal Fabricators for 20 years. He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War serving aboard the USS Intrepid.
Bill was an avid horse trail rider, former Vice President of the Cross State Trail Riders Association, and former President of Moswansicut Riding and Driving Club.
Besides his wife, Bill is survived by three daughters, Lori Bourgault, Brenda Katzanek and her husband Andrew and Melissa Paulin and her husband Don, and two sisters, Cheryl Lynch and Darlene Halks. He was the grandfather of seven grandchildren, Courtney, Ryan, Brandon, Jenna, Alexis, Olivia and Kate, who were the light of his life. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and great friends, as well as his beloved horse Mack.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Michael Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917. Burial with Military Honors will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Monday from 4 to 8pm. Flowers accepted or donations to the St. Michaels Food Pantry would also be appreciated.
