He was the son of the late Gerard and Giselle (Gazaille) Tanguay.
Richard was the former proprietor of Richard E. Tanguay Nationwide Insurance Co of Middletown for many years.
He is survived by two sons, Ben and Nick Tanguay, a daughter, Kayleigh Tanguay, siblings, Lee Ann M. Tanguay his caregiver, Ron and Rene Tanguay.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Relatives and friends are invited and may visit starting at 1pm. Burial will be private
