17, passed on February 4th. He was the son of Shanna Rufo and the late George Holland Sr. Born July 11th 1996.

George was a senior at High Roads School, and was pursuing a career in Criminal Justice studies at C.C.R.I. He was a leader of his high school football team the Central High knights were he played center.

He was tragically taken too soon, but through our memories, he will live forever in our hearts. Son of the late George Holland Sr. He is survived by his younger siblings, Jamay, Jarell, Tylian-na, JaKhai, JaRiah, Dhyanne, JaLiel Holland, Jolanna Prout, Runaisha and Ruziah Alves. He is also survived by his grandparents, Barbara Rufo Spikes, Dianne Holland, and Vincent Clement, his mother Shanna Rufo, Uncles Anthony Rufo, David Strother, Allen Smith, his Aunt and legal guardian Leah Seton, Aunts Gina Bly, Brenda Monteiro, Noella Smith and Trina Wright, his girlfriend Ebony Gomez and a host of cousins.

It is all about George. Many will talk about how he died but let's remember about how he lived. He was and will forever be a true "GOOD GUY" He was born a gifted boy with a big heart, a loving smile, a warming spirit, and blessed with intelligence and athletic ability a leader! Education and sports motivated him and kept him from the trouble many youths face today. But He became an innocent victim of the violence that plagues our society. He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

After praying one night George asked me about God, and tried to explain to him who Jesus was and is. I said the world looks at God as a religion. He’s much more than just going to church on Sunday or seeing Him crucified on a cross. He should be looked at as an all loving and forgiving father, desiring a relationship with His children. A relationship is all you need. I said ask Him to come into your heart as Lord and savior and He is all you will ever need to get through this life. With a smile He did, and with the glow I saw on his face I knew He believed. He was quiet the rest of that night. I witnessed and felt a peace come into both of us. That's something not even death itself can overcome. George will forever have Eternal life with Jesus!

John 3:16. (ESV) For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal live." Amen!

Rest in peace George we all love you.

A home going service will be held Monday at 11:30am from the Keefe Funeral Home. Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will follow. Relatives and friends are invited and may visit starting at 9am.
