84, passed on Friday, February 14th after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Gerard M. Dupre.
She was the daughter of the late Albert O. and Ida (Brouillette) Benoit.
She was employed by Senior Companions of RI for the past 10 years.
Irene is survived by a daughter, Madelaine Fitch of North Carolina, four sons, Donald Dupre of Warwick, Paul Dupre of Pawtucket, Edward Dupre of Warwick and Raymond Dupre of Pawtucket, seven sisters, Emma Jodoin of N. Providence, Jeannette Landry of Cumberland, Loretta Bergeron of Florida, Lucille Karaniuk of Cumberland, Vivian Powell of Ohio, Eva Oullette of CT and Yvonne Brown of Ohio, 3 brothers, Albert Benoit of Lincoln, Paul Benoit of NJ and Norman Benoit of Cumberland, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Rita Magill and Roland Benoit.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10am in St. Joan of Arc Church, 3357 Mendon Road, Cumberland, RI 02864. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4 to 6 pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln.
