"May the good earth be soft under you
when you rest upon it,
and may it rest easy over you when,
at the last, you lay out under it,
And may it rest so lightly over you
that your soul may be out
from under it quickly,
and up, and off,
And be on its way to God."

I'm going to miss you Grapes!!

I'll always remember Mr. McCann as Sue's dad and that bell that we could hear from their house...the fire alarm bell. As kids we would hear it ring in code, kind of a morse code, that would clang out the location of a fire. Darling St. was full of Irish families and McCanns. Good times. God bless you, Mr. McCann, time to catch up with Mrs. McCann and Christine.... They have been waiting for you.

O Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer's gone and all the roses falling
It's you, it's you must go and I must bide

But come ye back when summer's in the meadow
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow
I'll be there in sunshine or in shadow
Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so

But when ye come and all white flow'rs are crying
If I am dead, as dead I may well be
Ye'll come and find the place where I am lying
And kneel and say an ave there for me

And I shall hear through soft you tread above 'em
And all my grave will warmer, sweeter be
For you will bend and tell me that you love me
And I shall sleep in peace until you come to meet me

I love you Grandpa Ed!!! I will miss you dearly!! I will play this song every St. Patrick's Day in your memory!!

Heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your dad & grandfather. He was such a wonderful man. I will always remember his great big smile that he would have on his face whenever I would see him. To the McCann Family, I didn't know Edward personally, but I can see that he cared about people by the profession that he chose. I lost my father at the age of 74, He would be 82 this year. It was a difficult time for me, but what brought me comfort is what we read in the bible about death. It say's at Isaiah 25:8 That God (Jehovah) "will swallow up death forever" and will "Wipe the tears from all faces". And also a scripture of comfort is what Jesus himself said at John 5:28 29 He will "call all those in the memorial tombs out to a resurrection right here on earth. We may grieve at the loss of a loved one, but words of comfort are available to us in the Bible, please read these verses for yourself and find comfort in them as I have. Or visit JW.org and read more.

I am sorry to read of the passing of your loved one. Words don't always ease the pain when you are grieving the death of a loved one, but I hope you will find comfort in Jesus' promise of the resurrection hope (John 5:28, 29) when he will raise up those who are now sleeping in death (John 11:11) restoring them back to life, on the renewed Paradise earth (Acts 24:15). What a wonderful blessing to look forward too! Until then, may Jehovah God (Psalms 83:18) grant you peace and comfort during this grievous time (Matthew 5:4). Please feel free to visit JW.ORG for more information about the condition of the dead and learn what the Bible really teaches about the resurrection hope. Peace and love.
