To the Kaplan Family, I didn't know Russell personally, but I can see that 62 years old is to young to pass. I lost my father at the age of 74, He would be 82 this year. It was a difficult time for me, but what brought me comfort is what we read in the bible about death. It say's at Isaiah 25:8 That God (Jehovah) "will swallow up death forever" and will "Wipe the tears from all faces". And also a scripture of comfort is what Jesus himself said at John 5:28 29 He will "call all those in the memorial tombs out to a resurrection right here on earth. Please read these verses for yourself and find comfort in them as I have. Or visit JW.org and read more

When we lose a loved one here on earth, we gain an angel in heaven that watches over us. May you take comfort in knowing that you have an angel to watch over you now. Reflect on all the good memories and smile at the fact that you were able to share them. I extend my most sincere condolences.

I extend my condolences to the family and friends of Russell at this difficult time. May you be comforted by the promise of the resurrection and the knowledge that soon death will be no more and never again will we have to bury our loved ones. God makes this wonderful promise to us at Isaiah 25:8 where it says that he will "swallow up death forever." Please find hope in these words.
