I heard of uncle's passing late Sunday afternoon. Please know that all my love and prayers are with all of you at this time. I still hold so many childhood memories very dear to my heart and most of them the Patenaude's were right there with the Choquette's. Please accept my sincerest condolences and know I will keep all of you in my prayers. Love, Cousin Robbie

Over the years, I've had the opportunity to have many conversations with my big brother. During that time, I found it amazing that I never heard him say a bad word about anyone. The man was in a class by himself. I will miss him forever and love him always.
Your loving brother,
Bob

Mr. Patenaude, without ever realizing it, was easily the teacher who most influenced my future.
Teaching was an art form to him, and his enthusiasm was contagious.
We lost one of the good guys!

I first met Arthur when I started teaching at CFHS 25 years ago. His easy smile and kind words will be his legacy. He was always positive and willing to help out a rookie like myself. He represents the best of teachers and he represents the best of Central Falls High School. Deeply sorry to hear of his passing.

Please accept my sincere sympathy on the loss of your beloved Dad, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. Arthur was just a GOOD MAN! He was intelligent, compassionate and a WONDERFUL friend! I can just picture that little smirk of a smile moving into full blown laughter! He LOVED his wife and family. NOTHING made him prouder! I had the gift of knowing him as a student in 1961 to working beside him as a colleague beginning in 1979 until his retirement. "Well done, good and faithful servant.." comes to mind as I imagine God's Celestial Committee welcoming Arthur home. He was true joy and a treasure of a friend! Love, prayers and friendship always, Kathy

My deepest sympathies to Mr. Patenaude's entire family. He was one of the best and most influential teachers that I have ever had. His passion for literature was so inspiring and contagious! I remember his saying "when I meet you again on the street someday, you know that you will be able to recite this entire speech." Marc Anthony's speech at Julius Caesar's funeral...and he was right. I can still recite it today and think of him, very fondly, any time I read those words or come across that play. Rest in Peace Mr. Patenaude and Thank You! It really was a privilege to be your student. Dawn (Mowry) George Class of '83

My sincere condolences to the Patenaude Family. I knew Arthur since 1971, first while working for the School Department and then through my brother, mother and sister who all worked as teachers and Hedley Ave. office staff. He was a man of integrity. As long as you keep him in your heart he'll never be forgotten. I will remember him in my prayers.

Although I never worked with Arthur (he retired the year I started at CFHS), I still got to know him quite well thanks to several symposia at the Westside ;) Thank you CVG for those opportunities.

His smile is what I'll remember from him along with our regular initial greeting. He'd say "Comment ca va?" I'd say "Bien merci. Et vous?" He'd answer "Good, good!" I can still hear those words ... I imagine St Peter has heard them to.

My sincerest condolences to you Bob and to his entire family.

My condolences to all the patnaude family. Arthur and I had many a conversation about the "old days" when I visited him at st Antoine's. I was really looking forward to his spending some time with me in Florida this winter. Another big loss to the city, all his former students and mostly to his family.
