The best memories of my friend Ernie took place right on Darling Street in his infamous basement. Our group of friends met there on a regular basis for many years and true friendships were formed. Many of those friendships that were formed remain to this day. He had a wide variety of friends. He was loyal to all of them and treated each one of us as his best friend. Thanks for the memories Ernie and rest in peace my friend.

i remember ernie as everyone else does a fun person. he always had a joke or a witty one-liner to make you laugh. he became a friend of mine through other friends whom i hung around with.i am sure we all feel the same about his passing, he was too young to go but maybe the lord needed him more than we did down here. my most heartfelt sympathy to his mom and family. rest in peace friend.

Jerry has it right. A lot of life long friendships were made on that street and Ernie was the cornerstone. The funny thing is he always had a way to get you to laugh even when he just pranked you! You could never stay mad at him. And if you didn't see him for a bit, when you did it was truly like seeing your long lost best friend....because that's exactly what he was to everyone in that gang of guys.
I didn't get to see him for the last few years and I've been thinking about him for the last few weeks. I'll miss him.
When I think of all the times we had with him I laugh out loud. Watching the Muppet Show up in his bedroom with 8 or 9, or 17 of us stuffed into that tiny room laughing our heads off, Zappa concerts at the old Leroy, trips up to Lincoln Woods, camp Keranna.....it's a hilarious blur.

Ernie,
My life has been sadder since you went away. We never say the things we want to say and then it's too late and we can't. I hope you knew how much you meant to me and how much I loved you. I think God saw how tired you were and decided to take you home. You were always taking care of everyone else never having time to take care of yourself. You could always make me laugh no matter how bad things got. Now the Angels are laughing and I'm crying. You will forever be in my heart and always on my mind until we meet again.
I miss you.
