One of my fondest childhood memories of Rit was when our family visited the Bedard household and she would prance around with the fireplace poker and pretend to be a picador (bullfighter). She always knew how to make us kids smile - thanks for that auntie!
My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family with wishes of love and peace - and cherished memories that make you smile this holiday season and those to come.
Rest in peace Aunt Rita! Love always, Karen

All of us at Mount St. Rita extend our condolences to you at the passing of your mother and grandmother. We felt honored to minister to her and get to know her just a little bit during her last days. She was a woman of faith and strength. She was open with us and told us how much you all meant to her. May her memory be a comfort to you at this time.

Dear, Mike, Diane, and Chris
Nancy and I are so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. I have such fond memories of Rit when we were all in high school, and how she used to take care of us all when we hung out at the house. Such a nice and caring person.
I am sure this is even more difficult during the holiday season, but Nancy and I both hope you find peace, and joy spending time with your family during this very sad Time.

Mom-
We may not have always gotten along but we were always there for each other and I will forever be thankful for that...
The past several months have been long and exhausting but I will forever be grateful that you had 3 children because if you didn't have Chris, I would gone through this alone sibling wise. We were there for each other til the end and I know you know that and I know how proud of us you are.
Karen, thanks for the memory of my mother with the poker, I remember that too and it gave me a chuckle!!!
Rest peacefully mom...

Auntie Rit, you have been so very supportive through my life. You were my mother's sister and best friend. I can't thank you enough for all the memories and laughs we have shared as a family. I will always cherish all the Christmas ornaments that you gave me in the past 25 years. You will be missed. God bless you.
To my dear cousins,as you know Rit was one in a million. No one could ever take her place. Christmas was a favorite time of year for her and Uncle Donald. They were always dressed up but Rit would wear a silly hat or a blinking necklace. She loved the attention. You guys were the love of her life. She always bragged about you. The one thing that has kept us so close all these years was the wonderful times we shared at the coup. Our hike down Tremont Street, washing and drying dishes together, sitting around the campfire. You will carry those memories close to your heart and be thankful. I love you and pray that God will keep you strong during this time of reflection, loss and gratitude.

Our thoughts and prayers have been with you through these past few months. So sorry to not have been able to get to Mt. St. Rita to see our friend one more time. Your mom & my husband used to love talking about the old days in the Woodlawn section & the nuns at St. Jean's school.
They both quit smoking at the same time & talked about how much the loved smelling smoke from other folks cigarettes. I could not understand that at all. L O L She was always so pleasant to be with, any time Lou, Rita & I planned to see your mom, Bernie wanted to come too. We did get to see her in No. Prov. and she came here too. We will always have good memories of our times together. Lou Stegnick, Rita DeQuattro & I were at the funeral mass yesterday. She is with Jesus & the angels & saints. R I P
