Mrs. Washington was lovely lady with a joyful, lively personality. She shared lots of happy times with us at various American Legion functions. We could tell, she really enjoyed being out with her family and we loved the good times we had with them. Her children were always proud to bring her out with them because she was such a beautiful person to be around. We often told her she was the prettiest of all the Washington girls, and they all are good looking. Mrs. Washington was a joy to be around, and everyone in her presence loved her. We are fortunate that we were blessed to have known this lovely lady. To all her family we want to express our deepest sympathy, and heartfelt condolences. May she rest in peace. Kirk, Nancy, George and Mrs. Boyd extend our deepest Sympathy to your family. What great memories we all have of Cypress Street. It’s one of those things you had to be there to appreciate all of the good times from one porch to another. We were so blessed to truly understand the meaning of family. Your Mom was always one of the Elders on that street that was always admired and respected. She will always hold a special place in the hearts of my family. My deepest sympathy to the family at this most difficult time. I'm sure that you all have your own special memories, I always remember seeing her out with one of her daughters and it reminded me of my mother and how if you were out and about and encountered me or one of my sisters you would definitely notice that my mother was always with us.
