I remember Kathy when she came back to work at child care connection, now the children's workshop. That was 20 years ago. Over the years I would run into Kathy in town or at one of the centers. She was always smiling and had such a amazing personality. Every time I saw her it was as if I still pelted with her!
My deepest condolences to her family. She will be in my heart and prayers.

I really got to know Kathie after we graduated from LHS. The Whetstone twins, Kathie and I all went to Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School. I had a car so everyone rode to school with me. During that 20 minute ride, we shared many stories and laughs. Over the years, as we all went our separate ways, I never forgot the Katie Gibbs Days and the great friendship we all had. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and hope that knowing she is at peace now will be of some comfort.

John and Cass, we send our heartfelt sympathies.

Look for me in Rainbows
Time for me to go now, I won't say goodbye;
Look for me in rainbows, way up in the sky.
In the morning sunrise when all the world is new,
Just look for me and love me, as you know I loved you.

Time for me to leave you, I won't say goodbye;
Look for me in rainbows, high up in the sky.
In the evening sunset, when all the world is through,
Just look for me and love me, and I'll be close to you.

It won't be forever, the day will come and then
My loving arms will hold you, when we meet again.

Time for us to part now, we won't say goodbye;
Look for me in rainbows, shining in the sky.
Every waking moment, and all your whole life through
Just look for me and love me, as you know I loved you.

Just wish me to be near you,
And I'll be there with you.

I worked with Kathie on the Executive Board of the Rhode Island Child Care Directors Association. She will be remembered as a strong, passionate advocate for children with a great sense of humor and loving spirit. I enjoyed working alongside her and will never forget her tireless work for our organization. My condolences to her family. Her legacy and work will carry on in all that we do.

Please accept my sincere sympathy on the loss of your precious wife and mother, Kathie. I have known Kathie since she was a little girl and our paths have crossed over the years as we worked to accomplish our shared goal of helping children. The last time I saw her was at BJ's and we hugged. Little did I know just what a treasure that hug would be! She lives on in both of you. Your love and devotion to her was beautiful. May God bless you both and give your continued strength. .....Love and prayers, Kathy

I first met Kathie at Child Care Connection. She took very good care of my son Steven for many years. She loved all of the children and was their voice on so many levels. She is a wonderful caring person and such an advocate for all children. You will be remembered and missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of your family. Sharon and Jim Abrahamson
