Dana was one of the greatest friends I could ask for. Dana could make me smile and laugh when I was sad and mad. I will always admire and respect her perserverance and dedication. Dana has accomplished more than others at the age of 26 and I am so proud to have known her. We have friends who have not even graduated college, but Dana graduated- early, wrote books, articles, won awards and was going back to school- and thats not even everything. Some people leave this earth having accomplished nothing, but Dana accomplished more. I am sorry and sad that she is gone, but I am confident she had no regrets about the lifestyle she lived. And for that, I am reassured.

My prayer for the family is that you will have God's peace and strength. Be encouraged and know that Dana's life was fuller than those twice her age. God Bless!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Jennifer, during this difficult time.
Please know that you can call me anytime for anything you might need that I can provide.
When you are ready, I want to take you out to Apsara's for the biggest bowl of "soul soup" that you ever had, and without the plastic lid this time.
The care and love you gave to Dana is an inspiration to all.
Love, Linda

I had the pleasure of meeting Dana when she enrolled in the peer education program at PPRI in 2001. Dana was passionate about helping our youth live productive and enriched lives. She was a natural in front of audiences as a teenager delivering messages of self-care and having healthy relationships. Dana was committed, always professional and a joy to work with until she went away to college. I am so happy to hear and read about Dana's many accomplishments at such a young age. A wonderful young woman who has left quite an impact on others...God Bless Dana and her family.

Ms. Jenny & Jon, Dana was one of my oldest friends and my best friend. We shared many moments in life. Some sad but many more happy ones. When we first meant eighteen years ago who would have thought that our friendship would have come this far. My memories are very long when it comes to Dana. I am honored to have had such extraordinary friend along with such a special friendship. Dana will be deeply missed and always loved by me, Joe and the kids. God is with you and so am I, "Raya".

I remember Dana when I subbed at St. Paul's and I still have the beautiful note her mom wrote to me. I also remember seeing Dana in A&H with her mom and I believe an aunt. There was no doubt, how well loved Dana. May her family take comfort in knowing that she is watching over them now. My deepest sympathies to everyone.

Jen,
Dana was an amazing, strong, talented young woman who loved life and lived it to fullest every moment. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her and probably more -though they won't know it - by those who never got a chance to know her and all she had to give. We know how proud you were of her and rightly so. Be proud too of yourself for all you had to do with who she was. Our thoughts are with you and Jonathan and your family. We're here for whatever we can do for you.

Dear Jennifer, my sincere condolences to you and your family. I never met Dana, but through you I have understood and admired the strength, perseverance and devotion you shared together. I spoke to Dana just once by phone when trying to reach you. She helped me sort out who I had called and who she was with gleefulness and good humor, such that I was left with an appreciative smile and a chuckle. Her energetic presence was so impressive. Such a gift.
I offer my sympathy and hope for your peace and comfort.

Dear Jen,
My deepest condolences to you and your family. Although I didn't know her, Dana sounds as though she was a remarkable young woman, and I wish that I had had a chance to meet her. I also wish that I had words that felt adequate but I do not. You have been in my thoughts all week and will continue to be.
I had planned to attend Dana's memorial service today, but may not make it because of the weather.
Sincerely,
Ginny

My heartfelt condolences go out to Jennifer and her family. I just met Dana the Wednesday before she passed and so I didn't know her very well. What I know is that she had a wonderful presence about her. From what I understand one of the symptoms of Marfan's syndrome is heart complications. Well after reading about her accomplishments, I don't know too many people who have as BIG and STRONG of a heart as Dana. It was a blessing to have her on this earth as long as we did and we should all take a little of Dana's giving spirit with us as we continue our life journey! Job well done Jennifer...you raised a Beautiful Angel! God comfort and keep you through this difficult time.
Marla
P.S. Although I couldn't make it to the memorial service because I have to work, I am wearing yellow today in her memory :)

Dear Jennifer,
I just recently learned of Dana's passing to eternity. Her memory lives on. I may have told you this before that my daughter who attended St Paul and RIC, and myself had interacted often with Dana in the community, before I knew you were her mother. What a great gift and a blessing she was to all! You truly raised a remarkable young woman.

I am so sorry for your loss. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Dana Wright was and amazing visionary and leader in social justice. She taught us all so many lessons about what we can do to make the world a better place. I was with her the day we coordinated the first Access Challenge. Her efforts changed the minds and hearts of a campus and a community forever. She will be deeply missed by many.
